A Stay in the Country Pet Lodge
New Clients
Welcome Pet Parents!
Finding the right care for your dog starts with a clear, well-structured process. Our New Client experience is designed to be straightforward, organized, and supportive—so you know exactly what to expect, and we can provide the safest, most appropriate care for your dog.
Before any boarding or daycare services begin, all new dogs complete a Meet & Greet Assessment. This allows our team to get to know your dog, introduce them to our facility and staff, and determine the best care approach moving forward.

- Your contact information
- Your dog’s basic profile details
You’ll create one account, and after saving your first dog’s profile, you’ll be able to add additional dogs to the same account as needed.
This information helps us ensure accurate communication and appropriate care.
Step 3: Upload Required Vaccination & Medical Records
After completing your dog’s profile in Goose, please upload all required health records directly into your account.
Required for All Meet & Greet Assessments
Your dog must be current on the following before scheduling an assessment:
- Rabies
- DHPP (Distemper/Parvo combination)
- Bordetella
- Canine Influenza
- Negative fecal test (current)
For the safety of all dogs in our care, we are unable to conduct Meet & Greet Assessments without up-to-date vaccinations and a negative fecal test on file.
Important Timing Reminder
All required records and your dog’s completed profile must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled Meet & Greet Assessment. This allows our team time to review everything carefully and prepare for your dog’s visit.
If any vaccinations or testing are not current, we recommend scheduling a veterinary appointment before booking your Meet & Greet Assessment.
If you’re unsure whether your dog’s records meet our requirements, please contact us—we’re happy to review them with you in advance.
Step 4: Complete the New Pet Questionnaire
To help us prepare properly, all new clients complete one New Pet Questionnaire on our website.
Please choose the questionnaire that best fits your dog:
👉 New Pet Questionnaire – With Group Play — COMING SOON!
👉 New Pet Questionnaire – Without Group Play — COMING SOON!
These questionnaires help us understand your dog’s needs and ensure the Meet & Greet Assessment is structured appropriately.

What Happens During the Meet & Greet Assessment
We offer two assessment paths, based on your dog’s preferences:
With Group Play:
Dogs are gradually introduced to the facility, staff, and friendly, well-seasoned dogs—starting one-on-one and progressing thoughtfully.
Without Group Play:
Dogs experience the facility with more one-on-one staff interaction, individualized playtime, enrichment, and outdoor breaks, without direct interaction with other dogs.
Both options allow us to observe your dog’s comfort, engagement, and overall fit in our environment.
After the Assessment
At pick-up, we’ll review how your dog did and discuss next steps.
Possible outcomes include:
- Approved and ready to schedule services
Your dog is comfortable and able to participate in services as planned. - Additional acclimation days recommended to determine fit
In some cases, one assessment day does not provide enough information to determine whether our environment is the right match. Additional acclimation visits allow us to observe how your dog adjusts over time and help us decide whether ongoing care is appropriate. - Not a good fit for our environment
If our setting does not meet a dog’s needs, we will discuss this openly and respectfully, with your dog’s well-being as the priority.
Our goal is to make thoughtful decisions that support safety, comfort, and long-term success—for every dog in our care.
